DIY Kinetic Sand

A very easy kinetic sand recipe is one that only uses four ingredients to make a soft and kids moldable sand that would bring so much fun and sensory playtime to your kid!

It would only take 5 minutes to prepare the materials and also 5 minutes to do it. You'll be needing 2 ½ cups of fine sand, 1 ½ cups of cornstarch, half cup of any oil such as baby oil, canola oil, olive oil or mineral oil, and food coloring.

You could use any oil that you have available from the ones mentioned above.

The following steps for your DIY kinetic sand are as follow:

• Mix sand and cornstarch thoroughly together

• Add the oil and mix well. Incorporate the ingredients well

• Add the food coloring of your choice

• Then kinetic sand is ready for playtime when there are no oily spots and no dry spots anymore.

It's very simple to make DIY kinetic sand.

If you wish to make this more like moon sand, you could add and mix in 1 tablespoon of dish soap anytime.
