Everyone is curious about what's his real name, and is he related to Yoda, whom he resembles?
Jon Favreau, the series creator, said that since The Mandalorian takes place after Return of the Jedi, The Child is not an infant Yoda, who is a Force Ghost at that time.
When asked about its name, he answered, "It's the easiest, shortest, most hashtable way to identify that character, and it's not Baby Yoda!
Everyone is hoping that Baby Yoda has his name as it deserves to have one, and hopefully, The Mandalorian season two could finally reveal his name.
What's Baby Yoda's real name?
Jon Favreau is firm in saying that he's not named Baby Yoda. Perhaps all would be revealed with the season finale of The Mandalorian.
All characters in Star Wars have their names, and it's only Baby Yoda that does not have one at this point. Maybe, that's part of the suspense and mystery until they give the baby its true name. It would be another big reveal.

Some netizens came up with Yiddle, a coined name from both Yoda and Yaddle, a female of the same species that others theorized to be his mon and who appeared in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
