Who’s Baby Yoda’s mom or parents?

The Yoda species first came out in The Empire Strikes back in 1980 in the character of Yoda, the Jedi Master. Nothing was ever known as to where he came from or from what specific species or origin. It remained until his death at 900 years old in The Return of the Jedi in 1983.

After more than 3 decades, The Child, aka Baby Yoda, is in the series Mandalorian. He is 50 years old but still an infant in the aging process of their species. He is also Force-sensitive and powerful like Yoda and has a very strong resemblance to him; that’s why the fans called him Baby Yoda. He’s ultimately adorable, cute, and very appealing.

The more questions popped out from his appearance that was warmly accepted globally by the Star Wars fans. Is Baby Yoda related to Yoda? Is he his long lost son or relative? Who are his parents?

Until now, nobody knows. We are looking forward to if all the mysteries around would be answered in season 2 of The Mandalorian. It would still be a guessing game until the right time comes as the saga of Star Wars continues.

Or could Yaddle be Baby Yoda’s mom?  Yaddle is also is a Yoda species along with Jedi Master, Yoda. She’s also Force-sensitive and was a member of the Jedi High Council during the last years of the Galactic Republic. Nothing much is also known about her, and her stay with the Jedi council was short-lived, and she was replaced by Shaak Ti.

What circulates now are theories by the fans who had been closely watching the Star Wars saga and also new fans that had been hooked to Baby Yoda.

Is Yoda his dad?  Yoda, who died at Return of the Jedi, uttered to Luke that there’s another. Was he referring to another one like him? Or another Jedi in Princess Leia?

It’s in the Jedi code that they could not have any romantic or physical relationship among them. Did Yoda and Yaddle disobey that law, and hence they need to hide Baby Yoda? Are Yoda and Yaddle his parents out of their illicit love affair?

Another popular theory is Baby Yoda was born of the Force, just like Anakin Skywalker.

Both of them were born 41BBY. Anakin’s conception, although he had a mother, the slave Shmi Skywalker, he had no father, and leading Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn suspected that Skywalker was conceived because of the work of the Midichlorians. Maybe, Baby Yoda was conceived like Anakin?  What’s the significance and meaning of the coincidence of them being born the same year? Is Baby Yoda linked to Anakin Skywalker that became Darth Vader? One thing is sure; Baby Yoda plays a very important role in this epic.

And lastly, other fans theorized that maybe Baby Yoda and the rest of the Yoda species are meant to be mysterious until the end.

It might still not be answered in The Mandalorian series, and we still don’t know if all these mysteries would be known in the future or they would just be left hanging as they were.

Will we ever know his origin or parents?

Season 1 of The Mandalorian was excellent and exceptional, and we could expect that as well for season 2.

The Mandalorian has a winning formula that captured the hearts of the audience, and the biggest ace of its sleeves is Baby Yoda.
